Here's your picture, Storm! Hopchalakit!

EDIT:
Arghhh, the scan was originally too brown compared to the original, so I had to diminish the green levels, then it looked too blue, but couldn't really recreate the exact color theme of the original (the dark areas are still too blue). I promise I'll look tomorrow to see if I can't get a better scan.

Anyway, here's the colored version of [link] product of an art exchange with ~StormrageJunior (his part of the trade: [link] , I requested a female samurai and him a night elf. "With a cool and original armor, heavily yet tastefully decorated"... Hmmm, I don't know if bikini armor is that tasteful.
We originally only planed to trade sketches, as you can see both of use went for something a bit more complex than just mere doodles.
BTW, this one is not extremely original, three of my previous "chick in bikini armor" type pieces have strong similarities with this one: [link] , [link] and [link] , looks like I can't make a fantasy metal wonderbra without spiral motives.
The whole drawing stands on an A4 page. The lineart version I submitted some time ago corresponds to a pencil drawing inked with a ballpoint pen. I then decided I liked it well enough to try painting it, though I'm still very uncomfortable with watercolors. I'm very happy with the result, despite the several obvious mistakes: the stars and the moons just don't look right, I don't master masking fluid well enough yet. The background is full of the beginner's characteristic mistakes (failing to apply the painting correctly at first, the beginner tries to correct his mistakes only to make them worse). I won't detail them all, but I don't feel that they critically impair the picture, some even seem to partake to the glow and night fog effects. Also, I wasn't helped by the fact that this grainless paper, though no printing paper, is still a bit too thin for watercolor... but remember I originally only planned to draw a pencil doodle. Some have also complained about the tiger's posture, but I don't care, this is the first and best (realistic, Hobbes doesn't count) tiger I have ever drawn and I like him the way he is :P
I was greatly helped by *Gold-Seven's lessons this summer in Aachen (using tape to fix the paper to a board so it get too wavy, "the easy method to suggest grass in a few strokes",...), though my mistakes show I failed to grasp many aspects of the course.

Anyway, now for the character's description. Beware, it is extremely long and boring.
As I was drawing this, I thought since the character's concept would be strongly influenced by the moon it would be cool to make her Elune's daughter. According to [link] , Cenarius was the son of Elune and the white stag Malorne... pretty disturbing if you think of it... Moreover, the origin of Elves is not clear, and "While one legend states that night elves decended from trolls (a legend that isn't by any elves), other legends imply that night elves originated from Elune or one of Her offspring, or least changed into her likeness. If that is so it would explain why they share resembalance to both dryads, and keepers of the grove, and the biological mother of Cenarius." So I think it is consistent, if I decide to stay by this legend, to think that there may still be some offspring of Elune around, not necessarily the first Night Elves but perhaps the fruits of relationships between her and some of her people.
So here is Shae'lhun, Priestess of the Moon and member of the order of the Sisters of Elune but actually the daughter of the goddess and one of the greatest of the Night Elf alchemist-smiths. So this makes her a demigoddess. She was born some time before the War of the Ancients. Her father crafted her sword, the Sword of the Seven Moons (see below for description of the sword and the associated moons). Ultimately, he was slain during the war. She lost an eye fighting the Legion, but the device she's wearing can open up like a diaphragm and reveal an artifact that functions as an artificial eye. Because its use is very straining, she only uses it in battle. More recently she added an automatic crossbow, whose subtle mechanism was designed by expert goblin engineers (see description below).
She's more of a ranger than a leader, she freely roams the woods of Ashenvale under pale moonlight, purifying them from the corruption left by the Legion.

Weapons:
- Sword of the Seven Moons: The sword is made of mithril. Each moon of the sword draws its power from one of seven moon-like objects that Night Elf astronomers could detect in the skies of Azeroth's planetary system or beyond at the time it was made. Each moon is made of mithril alchemistically melded with one moon associated substance. The four first moons of the blade can leave the sword and fly like shurikens at its wielder's enemies. The other one guides the blade and enhances the user's accuracy. The moons are, from the pommel to the blade's tip, with associated substance and virtue: the Sanctuary Moon of Beryth (silver, dedication); the Icy Moon of Zaar (ice, strength); the Pilgrim Moon of Alerah (quicksilver, agility); the Crystal Moon of Ruul (rock crystal, purity); the White Lady, biggest of Azeroth's two moons (pure mithril, bravery); the Blue Child, smallest of Azeroth's two moons (diamond, endurance); the Star-Moon of Aneth-Zerag (pure moonlight, precision).
- Automatic crossbow: originally designed by goblin engineers and refined by the finest Kaldorei craftsmen, this crossbow is entirely activated by the hand lever: lower it several time to draw the string, the last time the arrow loading cylinder moves one slot, two small blades cut the rope that ties the first arrow in the row to the next ones, and a lever puts the new arrow in place. The user then presses a button on the handle to let the trait fly.

Doesn't matter, I like to create a real profile for characters I draw but I really got carried away with this one.
